Developer Pitches $10 Mil. Proposal For Rocky Hill Property
A developer is proposing a $10 million hotel and restaurant project for a Rocky Hill property.
ROCKY HILL, CT — A real estate developer is attempting to develop a 13-acre plot with a $10 million hotel and restaurant, according to The Hartford Business Journal. Developer Ron Lyman, of Sam Center LLC/REL Inc., has requested a special permit and site plan approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The project would include a 126-room hotel and 5,660-square-foot restaurant on the east side of Silas Deane Highway. The location is adjacent to the I-91 northbound on-ramp.
Lyman has owned the property for about 20 years and has proposed several unsuccessful developments there, according to The Hartford Business Journal. The latest proposal maintains a large portion of the commercially zoned property as open space.
