High Winds Knock Down Trees, Power Lines In Rocky Hill

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for the entire state as gusts in excess of 65 mph are expected Monday afternoon.

ROCKY HILL, CT — The strong wind gusts have knocked down trees and power lines all over the area, including in Rocky Hill.

The police are advising that New Britain Avenue by Cobey Road will be shut down, following the downing of a tree and power lines there.

Traffic will be diverted down Cobey Road when traveling West on New Britain Avenue from Rocky Hill.

Eversource is aware of the problem and will be responding, according to a news release from the Rocky Hill PD.
