Man Charged With Murder In Rocky Hill Stabbing Incident

Rocky Hill police have charged a man with murder after a stabbing at a local apartment complex.

ROCKY HILL, CT — Rocky Hill police have charged a man with murder after a serious stabbing incident late Monday night.

At 11:03 p.m. Monday, the Rocky Hill Police Department received a 911 call from 100 Cold Spring Road — the Century Hills apartment complex — reporting that a man had been stabbed multiple times inside an apartment, according to a report.

Rocky Hill police officers arrived at the scene, located the victim and began life-saving measures, according to a report. The victim was subsequently transported to Hartford Hospital by Rocky Hill Volunteer Ambulance and he was pronounced deceassed later Tuesday morning, police said.

One "person of interest" was being detained early Tuesday and was cooperating with the investigation, police said. That turned out to be Kenton Dalton, who was being held Tuesday on a $1 million bond, police said.

Police were withholding the victim's identity until family members could be notified.

The Connecticut State's Attorney’s Office and the State Police Major Crime Division were contacted and have been assisting the Rocky Hill Police Detective Division with the investigation, according to a report.

Police said there was no threat to the public.
