ROCKY HILL, CT — The Sheraton hotel has announced that 52 employees will be laid off in the coming weeks, according to a document filed with the Connecticut Department of Labor. The layoffs at the 100 Capital Boulevard hotel will be temporary and done in two phases.

The first set of layoffs started March 26 and will extend to April 8. The second set will begin May 10 and end May 23.

Employees do not have bumping rights, meaning they will not be able to replace junior employees.
