New Connecticut State Laws Coming July 1
The legislature passed dozens of new measures this year and many will go into effect on Monday.

From providing funding to fix Fido to technical changes in the state's probate court system, dozens of new state laws will take effect starting Monday, July 1.Â
The new laws were passed during the 2013 General Assembly session that just ended.Â
Perhaps one of the most contentious new laws passed this year was the increase in the state's minimum wage by 75 cents an hour over two years. The minimum wage would increase to $9 an hour by January of 2015, up from the current minimum wage of $8.25.
