Rocky Hill Bank Held Up Thursday

Rocky Hill police are looking for a man who held up a local bank late Thursday morning.

ROCKY HILL, CT — Rocky Hill police are looking for a man who held up a local bank late Thursday morning.

The incident took place at 10:38 a.m. at the TD Bank branch 632 Cromwell Ave. Police said a man entered the bank, approached a teller and passed a note indicating that he had a gun. He also demanded money, police said.

No weapon was displayed, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 30s, approximately 6-feet tall and weighing 185 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored crew neck sweatshirt and a black hat with "Ford" written on the front, police said.

Surveillance video from inside the bank captured an image of the suspect and it was distributed by police.

After receiving an undisclosed sum of money, the suspect fled on foot and was observed getting into the passenger side of a white "older model" Nissan sedan and fled the area, police said.

There were no injuries reported.

The Rocky Hill Police Department Detective Division is investigating the incident and anyone with any information is being asked to contact the RHPD at 860-258-7640 and reference case number 19-14477.
