Rocky Hill Democrats Announce Their Slate of Candidates For November Elections
Ticket sees experience and newcomers of all levels.

The Democratic party of Rocky Hill announced its slate of candidates it will run for the November elections.
Mayor Tim Moriarty will again head the ticket.
Running for Town Council will be Kevin Clements, William "Bill"Â MacDonald, Alan Mordhorst, Barbara Surwilo and Joe Kohanek.
The Board of Education candidates will be John Bedlack, Raffalella Coler, Jim Moriarty, Maria Mennella and Skip Rivard.
Don Francis and Lois Morton were selected to run for Selectman.
Running for Zoning Board of Assessment will be Mike Casparino and Carol deBear.Â
Phil Benoit, Stephen Parks and Joe Coela will run for Zoning Board of Appeals with Rich Pawlich and Bill Tanguay as alternates.
"I am very positive about the candidates we have running," Democratic Town Chairman Carol deBear said. "We have a lot of experience and the candidates have a lot of great work experience. You will notice we have some new names and some new younger people which is important to bring to the party."Â
One of the newcomers to Council candidacy is Kevin Clements, currently a member of the Planning & Zoning Commission.
"I enjoyed my time on the Planning and Zoning and I just finished my Masters Degree in Public Administration at the University of New Haven so I thought this was a great time to continue my public service," said Clements, an Engineer for the DEEP for the last 13 years. "I would like to step forward and help the Town Council in a town that has been very good to me.Â
"I think there are some things that can be done better and some things that the town has done well that can continue. I think one of the things that I would concentrate on is to try to get more people to participate in government. That would do nothing but help in setting policy."
