Rocky Hill Obituary: Harry Geerts, 88

Harry Geerts, 88, of Southington, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018. He was originally from Hartford and more recently of Rocky Hill, Berlin and then Southington.

Harry leaves behind his wife Betty, his daughter Sandy and son Michael, three granddaughters: Irisa Hester, Kristen Kosco and Skye Strauss, as well as two great-granddaughters Brynn and Gianna, and his sister Mary. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry Geerts Sr. and Mary, and his wife of the Scanlon family.

Harry worked for the Connecticut Natural Gas Company (CNG) for over 35 years retiring to Florida for a period of time. He worked hard, provided well, shared his talents with many over the years yet, as with many who are called home without warning, had to leave with some things incomplete and left unsaid.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 6th, 11:30 AM at St. Paul's Church, 461 Alling St., Berlin. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours will be from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM, prior to the service, at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield.
