Rocky Hill Obituary: Mary LaChance, 91

Mary Theresa (Kerins) LaChance, 91, of Rocky Hill, died peacefully Wednesday, October 10, 2018 with her beloved husband of 60 years, Edward LaChance by her side.

A graduate in the class of 1951 from St. Francis School of Nursing, Mary was a Registered Nurse at UConn for 29 years prior to her retirement. Mary and her husband enjoyed their retirement years traveling and golfing.

Besides her husband, Mary is survived by many nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law Rose Surdell. She was predeceased by her two sisters, the late Lucille LaPenna and Katherine McGuire.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday 10am directly in St. Josephine Bakhita Church, St. James Campus, 767 Elm St. Rocky Hill. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Family and friends are invited to the Giuliano-Sagarino Funeral Home at Brooklawn, 511 Brook St. Rocky Hill, on Friday, October 12 from 6-8 p.m.
