
Mary Louise (Griswold) VanScoyk, 75, entered upon her new life on June 21, 2018 after a long and difficult illness.
Born March 29, 1943, she was raised in Rocky Hill. After marriage to Robert E. VanScoyk, her husband of 47 years, she made her home in Eden, Utah.
Mary Louise was the youngest child of the late Leonard and Betsey Griswold’s seven children. Brothers Howard and Raymond and sisters Margaret and Helen predeceased her.

She is survived by her husband, Rob, daughters Meghan VanScoyk of NM and Robyn Kondo and her husband Eric of CA, sisters Ruth Peters of MN, and Leona Dunham and her husband Arthur of Manchester, sister-in-law Leona Griswold of Wethersfield, brother-in-law Robert Sheldon of West Suffield, a large Griswold family of cousins, nieces, and nephews to whom “Aunt Mary” was special, life long friends Linda and Joe Forino of Enfield, and Verna Durling of MA.
A Rocky Hill High School graduate, Mary worked for the former CBT. Upon moving to Utah, she was employed by Williams International. She was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Ogden, UT. She and Rob shared an enthusiasm for outdoor activities and a camp site in St. George, UT.

Mary was devoted to her families, her church, and others. Her bright smile, welcoming voice, positive outlook, up look, and a big heart will be fondly remembered.
Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Mary’s Life in our midst, Saturday, July 21, 2018, 11 AM in Center Cemetery, at the intersection of Dividend Rd and Main St, Rocky Hill.
