Rocky Hill Obituary: Nina Goodusky, 81

Nina J. (Bagley) Goodusky, 81, of Rocky Hill, formerly of West Hartford, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2018 with her favorite staff of Apple Rehabilitation by her side. She was the widow of the late Richard F. Goodusky.

Nina was born in Hartford on September 6, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Walter and Lucille (Gionfriddo) Bagley. Nina was a truly devoted homemaker and she loved being with her family. She enjoyed knitting, reading and was an extraordinary bingo player. She was also a huge fan of UConn women’s basketball.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Nina leaves behind her daughter Susan Anne D’Elia and her husband Stephen of Colchester, her son Steven Goodusky of Pinellas Park, FL, her grandchildren Ashley and Hunter Machie of Pinellas Park, FL, her sister Mary Ann Rossi and her husband Louis of Rocky Hill, her brothers Richard Bagley and his wife Joan of Ocala, FL and Walter Bagley of New Britain, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Nina was predeceased by her sister-in-law Linda Bagley.

The family would like to extend their extreme gratitude to Apple Rehabilitation of Rocky Hill for their diligent care and attention to their Mom’s special needs.

Calling hours are Friday, June 29th at 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. A prayer service will be held at 12pm on Friday at the conclusion of the calling hour in the funeral chapel. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
