Rocky Hill Obituary: Timothy Kennedy, 60

Timothy “Timbo” Kennedy, 60, of Rocky Hill, beloved husband for 38 years of Wieslawa (Woznica) Kennedy, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.

Born in Hartford on July 15, 1957, he was the son of the late John J. Kennedy, Jr. and Pauline (Scavetta) Kennedy. He was a graduate of A.I. Prince Technical High School, Hartford. Tim was the owner and operator of Kennedy’s Plumbing & Heating in Hartford. He was a faithful communicant of SS Cyril & Methodius Church and a member of the Polish National Alliance and the Polish National Home.

In addition to being a son, brother, husband, dad and grampa, Tim showed us all how to live bravely and generously. He believed in working hard; right tools, right job, right time. He flew planes over Hartford, steered boats from Texas to Connecticut and he went scuba diving in Southeast Asia. He loved to sing and tell jokes just to see someone smile. Tim’s smile, his songs and jokes all serve to remind us to love and live life to its fullest. See you somewhere beyond the sea, dad.

Tim will be forever missed by his loving wife Wieslawa; four children, Timothy M. Kennedy and wife Lynnette of Port St. Lucie, FL, Marla Kennedy-Ademan and husband Nino of Hartford, Alicia Kennedy of Mesa, AZ and Sara Kennedy of Baltimore, MD and four adored grandchildren, Giovanni, Elijah, Sammy and Christian. He is also survived by four brothers, Joseph Kennedy and his wife Nellie, John Kennedy, Bill Kennedy and his wife Virginia and Tom Kennedy; his mother-in-law, Maria Woznica, brother-in-law Zbig Woznica and his wife Gosia, Cas and Wendy Woznica, Joe and Joyce Woznica, Teresa and Ray Madrazo along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, co-workers and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Kennedy and his father-in-law, Walter Woznica.

Funeral services will begin Monday (April 30) at 9 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 55 Charter Oak Ave., Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
