Rocky Hill Patch Remembers Memorial Day Heroes

This Memorial Day, Patch readers remember loved ones lost and thank them for their service. While Memorial Day is to honor the dead and Veteran’s Day is to honor the living, Patch readers sent in both soldiers who are no longer with us and those who are still living. Here we remember, honor and thank them for their service to our country.

Photo: Robert Thomas Cahill, Army Air Force Bombardier School graduate, 1944. He served as a navigator in Africa with the 455th Bomb Group of the 15th Air Corp during WWII. He received the silver cross, two presidential medals and the Armed Forces air medal. He flew over 50 missions in Italy. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1978 and passed away about 25 years ago.
