ROCKY HILL, CT — The Rocky Hill Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Armed School Security Officer. This position is a visible and active figure at the school to which the position is assigned, and is charged with safeguarding and protecting the school community and school property. With regard to prior certification, applicants must have been certified, and be eligible for re-certification, by the Police Officer Standards Training Council (POSTC), while serving as a sworn law enforcement officer, and must participate in and pass a full background investigation.

This is a position that works during the academic year when school is in session, up to forty (40) hours per week (hourly rate of $25.00).
