Rocky Hill Voters Help Decide State Legislative Slates

ROCKY HILL, CT — Rocky Hill voters helped decide two state legislative slates in Tuesday's primary elections.
Results were posted on the Connecticut secretary of the states's Website:
Locally, in the Democratic primary for the 9th District seat in the state Senate, Antonio "Tony" Guerrera received 1,166 votes, or 66.40 percent, and Matt Lesser tallied 590 votes or 33.60 percent.

Overall, Lesser was the winner with 4,779 votes, or 56.41 percent, versus the 3,693 votes cast for Guerrera, or 43.59 percent.
On the Republican side, Ed Charamut received 590 votes, or 69.49 percent, to Tyler Flanigan's 30.51 percent, or 259 votes.

Charamut was the winner overall, with 1,966 votes, or 51.81 percent, compared to Flanigan's 1,966 votes, or 48.19 percent.
Locally, in the Democratic primary for the 29th District seat in the state House of Representatives, Kerry Szeps Wood received 905 votes, or 52.68 percent, compared to Christopher Duff, who received 813 votes, or 47.32 percent.
Overall. Wood amassed 1,159 votes, pr 53.83 percent, to Duff's 994 votes, or 46.17 percent.
