Elm Ridge Park has several amenities including an outdoor pool and wading pool, a playscape, a pavilion, a gazebo, two charcoal grills, one softball field, two Little League fields, volleyball, basketball, skatepark, ice skating, Veterans Memorial Amphitheater, and the Rocky Hill Dog Park. The grant being given will help make improvements to an already very inclusive park and allow for residents in town to enjoy upgraded services.

“During the pandemic and the 2020 heat wave we’ve come to appreciate our parks and open spaces like never before,” said Sen. Lesser. “I’m grateful to Governor Lamont for supporting needed improvements to Elm Ridge Park in Rocky Hill and I’ll continue to support projects across the 9th Senate District.”

“Elm Ridge Park’s usage has increased dramatically during this time and seeing a whole section of it go unused because of safety reasons was a huge concern,” said Rep. Wood. “Working with the town, we came up with a short term and long-term plan to address these concerns. The renting of these fields is also a revenue source. I’m looking forward to seeing more sports and recreation at our largest park.”
