Senior center heads for referendum
Rocky Hill Town Council voted to put $10.5 million expansion to existing Senior/Community Center
The Rocky Hill Town Council voted to put $10.5 million expansion of the existing Senior Community Center to referendum in November.
Seniors fought hard and filled out surveys conveying to the town that they wanted a stand alone senior facility with easy access parking, auditorium and other amenities benefiting seniors.
Somehow along the way that got pushed aside and a plan for a community center emerged leaving the seniors

At one point it was suggested that maybe the word SENIOR be omitted from the Community/Senior Center

Longtime Senior residents of Rocky Hill have supported many schools, paid taxes and have made this community what it is, deserve better.
I urge the senior population of Rocky Hill to think twice when voting for this referendum, your taxes will go up and you are not getting the facility you wanted.
