The lone item on the BOE agenda is the discussion and possible action of the evaluation of the Superintendent of Schools.

Story & Crafts at the Connecticut Historical Society. The Connecticut Historical Society in Hartford will host a family program on Wednesday, July 24 at 10 a.m. Children will hear a story and complete a simple craft. The program is for children 5 and under and a parent must stay with them.

Playgroup Plus. The Cora J. Belden Library has a number of programs every day but this one is very popular and occurs every Wednesday, this time July 24 from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. Stories, songs and group playtime. For babies, toddlers and preschoolers with an adult.

Pig Out on Reading. Thursday July 18, from 2 to 3 p.m. Pig Out on Reading with the famous Daisy the Pig and her friends Lily Pug and Dixie Cup. A fun filled program encouraging a love of reading and the joy of 'rooting' around for a good book! For families with children preschool age and up. Registration required.

Summer Concert Series and Friday night Movies. Every Thursday the Rocky Hill Parks and Recreation sponsors the Summer Concert Series at the Amphitheatre at Elm Ridge Park on Elm Street. Then on Friday night it sponsors the Friday night movie in the same place. Now that the heat wave is over get out and enjoy the evenings.
