Vehicle Fire Closes Section Of Route 3 In Rocky Hill

ROCKY HILL, CT — A portion of Route 3 in Rocky Hill was closed because of a vehicle fire at lunchtime on Wednesday, state transportation officials said.

According to a Connecticut Department of Transportation Twitter post, it began as an accident that took place just before 1 p.m.

After the vehicle caught fire, Route 3 had to be closed at Brook Street while emergency crews worked at the scene, DOT officials said.
