Wood Gets Committee Assignments For First Term

ROCKY HILL, CT — State Rep. Kerry Wood (D- Newington, Rocky Hill, Wethersfield) has been appointed to several legislative committees, including the Commerce Committee, Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee, and Veterans Committee, for her first term in office.

Wood was sworn in to her first term in the Connecticut House of Representatives on Wednesday.

"I am humbled by the decision the voters made to elect me as their State Representative," Wood said. "During the next two years, I know we have to make tough decisions to address the budget, but I promise I will work hard for the district I serve and strive to continue moving our state in a positive direction."
