Jay will lead participants through the ornamental foreground in search of resident and migratory birds. Appropriate hiking shoes and binoculars are strongly recommended. Meet near the bridge along the entrance drive.

Hear about the discoverer of anesthesia and his tragic life, the woman behind the management of Colt Manufacturing, and the man who saved the country from bankruptcy twice. The tour begins at the flagpole at the end of the entrance drive.

Mayhem, murder and the hazards of everyday life in times gone by are the subjects of this tour led by Evelyn Bollert. Transportation with a mind of its own, constricting corsets, exploding boilers, odorless gases, melancholia, mysteries and more – Cedar Hill’s denizens tell us tales of the dangers of daily living in the late-19th and early-20th centuries. The tour begins at the flagpole at the end of the entrance drive.
