10.10 Shopping Festival!

Pink Aid, a CT-based 501c3 charity focused on the care of women and men undergoing treatment for breast cancer, celebrates 10 years of "compassion until there's a cure', on 10-10-20. Pink Aid was absolutely thrilled to receive the best birthday present ever – a partnership with global research and advisory firm, Coresight Research and shopping rewards giant, Shopkick, during their inaugural 10.10 Shopping Festival. Shopkick is an app where you can explore discounts and deals at some of your go-to retailers, like Amazon, Kroger, Sephora, TJ Maxx, Target, Ulta, and Walmart, and earn kicks that you can save and redeem for rewards.

The 10.10 Festival which takes place on October 9–12, 2020 is centered around revitalizing the hard-hit retail sector while also keeping consumers front of mind. Shopping earlier in the season helps customers avoid early sell-outs of coveted items and limits strains on our already overtaxed supply chain and delivery mechanisms. In keeping with the philanthropic spirit of the holiday season, both St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Pink Aid will receive a portion of the festival's proceeds.

Since its' founding in 2011, Pink Aid has donated more than $6.5 million to 47 different programs and hospitals throughout Connecticut and Long Island. In 2015, Pink Aid launched its' Pink Purse Initiative, to provide direct emergency financial assistance to cover essential household expenses like rent and utility bills, babysitting, and transportation to and from treatment. Since many Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck, the current pandemic with its impact on employment is further fueling the financial crisis for families across the country. Our Pink Purse Initiative has launched a national expansion to help meet these new needs.
