2 Cases Of Dog Flu Confirmed In Stamford: Report
Roughly 100 cases of dog flu were diagnosed in New York City this summer.

STAMFORD, CT — Two Stamford dogs have separately contracted the flu, according to area veterinarians who are anxious that the disease not infect a large swath of the area dog population, reports the Stamford Advocate.
An estimated 80 percent of dogs that come in contact with the virus come down with a cough, but 10 percent of dogs can die if they have a severe case.
Roughly 100 cases of dog flu were diagnosed in New York City this summer, and veterinarians are concerned because it could travel along commuter lines.

Making sure your home stays clean and you keep your dog up-to-date on vaccinations are two ways to help you dog avoid the flu. Additionally, vets ask that if your dog is sick, do not bring it to any dog camp or kennel because dog flu is passed through sneezes and wet muzzles.
