22 Stamford Students Qualify For National Leadership Conference

Over 20 Stamford students have qualified for the upcoming Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference competitions.

STAMFORD, CT — On Wednesday, Stamford Public Schools announced 22 students qualified, as individuals or as part of a team, for the upcoming Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference competitions.

The qualifying students represent the Academy of Information Technology & Engineering (AITE), Stamford High School and Westhill High School, according to a news release.

On Saturday, students from across the state competed in the virtual Connecticut FBLA State Leadership Conference in 44 categories.

The following Stamford Public Schools students achieved outstanding performances:

  • Rohan Sahu, WHS, Introduction to Financial Math, 2nd place
  • Adi Farber, WHS, Introduction to Financial Math, 5th place
  • Eden Cheung, WHS, Accounting I, 2nd place
  • Michele Pannone, WHS, Accounting I, 4th place
  • Zachary Tusa, SHS, Business Calculations, 4th place
  • James Quispe, AITE, Cyber Security, Honorable mention

  • Aryan Donikena, WHS, Health Care Administration, 2nd place

Those students, or teams of students, who ranked in the top four at the state level are qualified to compete as part of the FBLA National Leadership Conference.

According to the organization, Connecticut FBLA offers a wide variety of business, educational, and networking opportunities for students, including participating in business events, meeting influential business leaders and like-minded students and preparing for a career.
