A List of Fun Stamford Weekend Activities

Hey Stamford, Friday, Saturday and Sunday all linger in the high 70s and stays partly cloudy, with a 20-percent chance of rain everyday. Evening temps dip to low 60s, according to weather.com  Check these tide charts for your daily high and low tides.

Head to the Centennial Celebration for the Bartlett Arboretum on Friday night at 7 p.m., which will be held under the tent on the Arboretum's Great Lawn. Several local restaurants will provide delectable tastings for the event.

On Saturday, you can head to Cove Island Park at 9 a.m. for the MarcUS for Change 5k Run/Walk, which honors the life of Marcus McInerney and raises money to support the Stamford Public Education Foundation's nationally-recognized mentoring initiatives, and hang around at 10 a.m. for the SoundWaters Make a Difference Day clean-up initiative. 

Head to the Stamford Museum & Nature Center Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. for an afternoon of Scarecrow Making. The 4th annual day of fun can be entered into the Harvest Festival contest on October 19 and 20.
