
STAMFORD, CT—Coyotes and bears oh my.
The latest wildlife sighting involves a black bear roaming North Stamford Wednesday evening.
The bear was seen in a Laurel Ledge Road garage, according to the Stamford Advocate. It then moved to two other residences.

There have been more than 4,000 bear sightings in the state over the past year, according to statistics released by the State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Fifteen communities in the state have had more than 100 sightings in the past year.
DEEP officials said there about 700 black bears that live in Connecticut.

Earlier this week a group of coyotes reportedly stalked a girl on her way home from school. One got within 10 feet of the girl before she ran to the safety of her home.
