Coffee Shop To Takeover Starbucks' Location At Ferguson Library

STAMFORD, CT — A new coffee shop is planning to move this summer into the space vacated by Starbucks at Stamford's Ferguson Library downtown.

Winfield Street Coffee & Deli, which has locations in Westport, Croton-on-Hudson in Westchester County and Miami, has started construction at the Stamford site. The Starbucks was there for 20 years but did not renew its lease, writes the Stamford Advocate.

The new location will serve typical coffee shop fare, such as sandwiches and baked goods, with salads, food bowls and other health-oriented cuisine.

The coffee served will be from Counter Culture Coffee, a North Carolina-based specialty coffee company that prides itself on its "positive, opportunity-seeking mindset."
