Coronavirus Stamford: City Suspends Pay To Park Requirements
The city has temporarily suspended its pay to park requirements, however some restrictions are still in place.
STAMFORD, CT — Stamford has suspended its pay to park requirements for all city metered parking spaces until further notice, city officials announced late Tuesday. The announcement comes as the state, and the nation, grapples with the new coronavirus.
Parking time restrictions are still in place under this new policy, city officials said. The change was made partially to encourage residents to use pick up and takeout services provided by restaurants and businesses in the city. (To sign up for Stamford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Additionally, Stamford’s Downtown Special Services District continues to disinfect high-touch areas in the downtown area, including crosswalk signals and parking meters.
