Cyndi Lauper Sells Her Former Stamford Home
The singer-songwriter ended up selling the three-bedroom, four-bathroom home for significantly less than her original asking price.

STAMFORD, CT — Singer-songwriter Cyndi Lauper recently completed the sale of her Saddle Hill Road home in Stamford for $804,625, a sharp reduction from the original asking price last year of $1.25 million, according to realtor.com.
Lauper, who wrote five of her hit albums in the home writes People Magazine, listed it for sale in May of last year and twice reduced the price, first in July to $1,075,000, and then in August to $935,000. She bought the North Stamford home more than 20 years ago, and lived in it with her husband, Dave Thornton, and their son, Declyn.
The home measures 3,885 square feet and rests on a 1.58-acre lot. It has three bedrooms, three full and one half-bathrooms, and it also features hand-stenciled walls and a cedar Mansard roof. Additionally, a guest cottage on the property was used as a music studio.

The assessed value of the property in 2017 was $601,290, and taxes were $15,387, according to realtor.com.
Lauper's former home is not the only celebrity home up for sale in lower Fairfield County. Singer-actor-talk show host Harry Connick Jr.'s New Canaan home remains on the market, as do columnist Mike Lupica's New Canaan home, and "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough's New Canaan home.
