Dog Lost For Over 40 Days Found In Stamford, Finally Returns Home
After 41 days missing from her home, Lexi was found in Stamford and has finally returned home, according to her family.
STAMFORD, CT — Lexi, an 11-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever mix who has been missing since Dec. 7, finally returned home this weekend, according to her family.
In an email Sunday, Allie Falco, a family friend of Lexi's owners, said the family was able to set up a trap for their missing pet after she was recently spotted in the North Stamford area of the city.
The trap was ultimately a success, and Lexi was reunited with her family Sunday around 3 a.m., Falco said. (To sign up for Stamford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

"We are so happy to have Lexi home with us and can't believe how healthy and well she is after surviving in the wild on her own for 41 days," Solomon said. "She is truly a remarkable dog and a symbol of resilience during a time in all of our lives where our regular way of life has been challenged. The way her story has brought so many communities together and inspired hope and connection after such a dark year has also been truly special."

Solomon expressed gratitude toward everyone who helped locate Lexi and spread the word about her journey to communities across the county.
"We are so grateful to have her home with us again, and we are so grateful to all of those who stood by us and cheered us on and helped us along the way," Solomon said. "Lexi and I are both still settling down after the last six weeks, but we are enjoying every minute now that we are back together."
Residents who come across the family's pink LOST signs are also encouraged to take them down.
"Lexi has traveled quite a distance over these past 41 days," Falco said, "and it will take us a while to pull them all."
