Emma DelMazio, 88, Of Stamford

Emma DelMazio passed away on June 16, 2021. She was 88.

Emma DelMazio, age 88, beloved wife of the late Ambrose ‘Brongie” DelMazio of Stamford, originally from San Fili, Calabria, Italy, passed away on June 16, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.

Born September 12, 1932, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Letizia Aiello. She immigrated to America and worked as a seamstress prior to marriage. After raising a loving family, she later worked at Pitney Bowes. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Emma is survived by her children Philip and Josephine DelMazio, Salvatore and Carol DelMazio, Lisa and James McEwan. She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren Danielle (Matthew), Matthew (Kelly), Nicole (Jonathan), Tyler, Gregory, Brittany, Michelle, Lindsay and six great grandchildren as well as and her sister, Frances Aiello and sisters-in-law Josephine Aiello and Josephine Chirillo and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Beside her parents she is predeceased by her stepmother Natalina Aiello and siblings Mario Aiello, Elvira Gentile (Joseph), and Pasquale Aiello (Elaine).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Entombment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Sunday, June 20, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
