First County Bank To Move Executive Offices in Stamford

The Ashforth Co. announced Monday that the bank has signed a lease for executive offices at 3001 Summer St.

First County Bank is relocating its executive offices to 3001 Stamford Square at 3001 Summer St., according to announcement made Monday by The Ashforth Company, the owner of the building.

This is what Ashforth said in its announcement:

Moving approximately 50 employees from its current locations in Stamford, First County Bank will occupy nearly 19,700 square feet of space on the first floor of the building developed, owned and managed by Ashforth and located at 3001 Summer Street. First County Bank, founded over 160 years ago, is a $1.3 billion independent mutual community bank with 15 branches in Stamford, Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk and Westport.

Ashforth completed a multi-million dollar renovation of 3001 Stamford Square at the end of 2012. The property consists of 290,000 square feet of office space on seven floors with four levels of underground parking.

“This is an exciting strategic initiative as it provides First County Bank expansion opportunities for our key business lines – Commercial Banking and First County Advisors. Giallongo, chairman and CEO of First County Bank.

First County Bank joins a high caliber roster of 3001 Stamford Square tenants: KPMG, Genworth and Navigators and recently signed Pitney Bowes, O’Connor Davies and Willis. Their expected move in date is the first quarter of 2015. A.P. Construction Company, Ashforth’s construction division, will complete the renovation.

Ed Tonnessen, managing director of JLL, the exclusive leasing agent for 3001 Stamford Square represented Ashforth. 3001 is now 71% occupied with approximately 84,000 square feet available for lease.

Designed by Roger Ferris + Partners of Westport, Connecticut, the extensive 3001 improvements designed to LEED standards include a new modern lobby, state-of-the-art elevators, new bathrooms and tenant common areas, a new environmentally friendly and energy efficient HVAC system, enhanced landscaping, new property identity and directional signage, and contemporary facade enhancements. New amenities include a private shuttle service to and from the Stamford Train Station, a full-service café, a state-of-the-art fitness facility and an electric vehicle charging station.
