Hundreds Without Power In Stamford, Greenwich: Eversource

Thousands of power outages are being reported throughout Connecticut, and the worst parts of today's nor'easter aren't expected until later.

STAMFORD, CT — More than 600 Eversource utility customers in Stamford were without power as of 12:02 p.m. on Friday, as the March 2 nor'easter whacked Connecticut, according to the power company. In Greenwich, the number had swelled to about 800 during the morning, but had dropped to about 260 by 12:32 p.m.

More than 10,000 residents and businesses around the state were without power as of the early afternoon, and the worst of the storm is yet to come.

The Greenwich, Darien and New Canaan school districts are closing early Friday, but Stamford was still holding to a regular schedule.
