Looking for Some Fun in Stamford Wednesday? Look No Further!

Hey Stamford, a mostly cloudy 66 during the day gives way to a mostly cloudy 50. Chances for rain are only zero-percent during the day and ten-percent for the evening, according to Weather.com. Tide charts show low tide hitting around 9 a.m. and 9:42 p.m. and high tide at around 2:46 a.m. and 3:04 p.m.

Check out the ribbon cutting Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the What's Up Stamford collaborative art project between Franklin Street Works and Stamford Downtown. The introduction ceremony will take place at the base of St. John's Towers, 101 Tresser Boulevard. 

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, the Stamford Federal Credit Union and On-Site Shredding are sponsoring a free community shredding event. The community is invited to bring any personal documents such as account statements, direct mail offers, or cancelled checks to shredded at no cost. 

At the Ferguson Library Wednesday, there's a bunch of fun stuff going on, including: Step Ahead starting at 11:15 a.m. at the main branch, Toddler Time at 11:15 a.m. at the Harry Bennett Branch, New Yorker Discussion Group at 1 p.m. at Harry Bennett, Cover Letter help at 6 p.m. at the main branch and Running an e-Commerce Business at 6 p.m. at the main branch. 

There's a Public Planning Meeting meeting about the future use of the Scofield Park & Yard at the Scofield Magnate School gym at 7 p.m.
