"The victim was followed into the men’s bathroom by three male suspects who proceeded to beat the victim, causing him to fall to the floor, where the suspects continued to strike and kick the victim in the head," said Capt. Richard Conklin of the SPD in a news release on Tuesday. "During the attack, a handgun was discharged, with the bullet striking the bathroom wall. No one was reportedly struck by the gunfire."
Conklin added that the suspects fled before officers arrived on scene.

"It is believed that the victim may have been pistol whipped, and suffered a laceration to the head, as well as potential fractures to the face," Conklin said. "Through the subsequent investigation, it appears that this was not a random attack, but that the victim was targeted by the suspects, who took issue with the victim over past unknown matters."
Police noted that Dix and Rowell are both convicted felons, and they remain in custody. Fields was able to post bond and has been released, pending further court proceedings.
