My artwork involves the many facets of landscape and how it relates to my life, interests and surroundings. I’ve painted in all seasons, recording patterns of land and water at my feet and rhythms of branches rising majestically above my head. I cross the line between representation and abstraction, employing the interaction of shapes and the use of color, light and rhythm to convey my feelings about the forces of nature and how they relate to me. I find excitement in the power of rebirth: nature’s magical ability to create new life. We, the gardeners, are conduits of this rebirth and I paint myself and other tillers to celebrate this magnificent orchestration.

I received my MFA in painting from the New York Studio School and my undergraduate degree from Skidmore College. I’ve lived in both the United States and London, England and have shown work internationally. I am a multi-media artist concentrating on drawing and painting. Presently my time is divided between teaching and landscape painting.
