Motorcyclist Critically Injured In Stamford Crash: Police

Police said the motorcyclist was in critical condition at Stamford Hospital early Monday morning.

STAMFORD, CT — A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a crash Sunday evening in Stamford, according to police.

In a news release, Sgt. Jeffrey Booth said a 2004 GMC Envoy was headed west on West Main Street around 7 p.m.

According to Booth, the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Wilson Street when a 2003 Honda motorcycle struck the vehicle's passenger side.

The motorcyclist suffered "critical and life-threatening injuries" as a result of the crash and was listed in critical condition at Stamford Hospital early Monday morning, Booth said.

The age and identity of the motorcyclist are currently unknown, Booth said. No charges have been filed as of Monday morning.
