NBCUniversal Employees Bring Holiday Cheer Children in Stamford
More than 60 deserving children receive toys from company's annual Holiday Toy Drive.

From NBCUniversal: On Thursday, December 15, NBCUniversal employees donated more than 160 toys to the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford, as part of the company’s annual Holiday Toy Drive.
This year, 60 NBC employees volunteered to participate in the program; each employee received a personalized “wish card” from a child at the Boys & Girls Club that specified which toys he or she would like to receive. All of the children who filled out wish cards participate in after-school programming at the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford.
“This is the third year we’ve partnered with the Boys & Girls Club for our annual holiday toy drive – 3 years ago, we only needed 30 wish cards. This year we had so many employees interested, we had to double that number!” said Vinnie Fusco, Vice President and General Manager of Production. “It’s a real testament to the kind of people we have working at the Stamford Media Center – they love participating in efforts that make our community a better place to live, and we love giving them an outlet to do it!”

In addition to the wish card program, NBCUniversal also purchased extra toys to be donated to other children at the club.
“NBCUniversal participates in several volunteer initiatives with the Boys & Girls Club, but the holiday toy drive is by far one of the largest donations we get this time of year,” said Mike Cotela, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford. “We’d like to send a big thank you to all the NBCUniversal employees who helped make the holidays a little brighter for families participating in our programs, and we look forward to continuing our great relationship with NBC throughout the year.”
