Need Fun this Weekend? How About the Moon, Pumpkins or Zumba?

Hey Stamford, this dreary week caries into the weekend, with rain on Friday keeping temps low at 64. It jumps to 68 on Saturday, but it's still cloudy. On Sunday, it drops to 66 but the sun should peek through as it's only supposed to be partly cloudy. There's only a 20-percent chance of rain Saturday and Sunday, according to weather.com  Check these tide charts for your daily high and low tides.

Head to the Stamford Museum & Nature Center Observatory on Friday night for a real treat in exploring the night sky, planets, stars, and more! Start by enjoying a presentation on Modeling the Moon, followed by a visit to view the night sky through a 22-inch telescope.

Head to St. John's Lutheran Church Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. or Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. to see the front lawn transformed into a pumpkin patch!

In neighboring New Canaan on Sunday, St. Aloysius School is hosting a Zumbathon to benefit Al's Angels, which provides Holiday meals and gifts to families who have children battling cancer, rare blood diseases or financial hardship. Register at 24hoursofhope.com.
