Netflix To Shoot Scenes For Holiday Movie In Stamford

Filming is scheduled to take place on June 28, according to Stamford Downtown.

STAMFORD, CT — Netflix will be filming scenes in Stamford for an independent movie titled "The Noel Diary" later this month, according to a recent newsletter from Stamford Downtown.

Starring Justin Hartley, who was also in the hit show "This Is Us" on NBC, "The Noel Diary" is a Christmas movie based on Richard Paul Evans' bestselling novel of the same name. It's being directed by Charles Shyer of "Father of the Bride" and "Alfie" fame.

According to Stamford Downtown Netflix will be filming scenes of two people eating dinner at Remo's Pizza on 35 Bedford St. then walking up the street. The scene is scheduled for June 28, with setup beginning at 7 a.m. It will be a night scene, with a scheduled shooting time of 6 p.m. throughout the night until 6 a.m. the next day.

In the scene, Stamford Downtown says, one of the characters is a famous author and a City bus stops near the front of the restaurant displaying an advertisement of the author's face. Following dinner, the characters exit and walk and talk up the street.

For both these scenes, the City of Stamford will redirect traffic to control the street.
