STAMFORD, CT — Fans of diced raw fish may soon be flocking to downtown Stamford, where a new "poke bowl" restaurant is planned to open at 108 Bedford Street within the next few months. The restaurant will open in the space formerly occupied by Oceanblue Dive, which closed earlier this year.

A sign announcing the new restaurant recently popped up in the window of the vacant store, along with a phone number for Chen's Poké in Mineola, N.Y., which has the same ownership.

An employee working at Chen's on Thursday said she was unsure what the new restaurant will be named, but it will likely open in "two or three months."

The new restaurant will be located near Brother Jimmy's BBQ, a chain that offers a variety of BBQ plates and sandwiches, as well as a wide selection of draft beers, cocktails and whiskey.

A similar "announcement via sign" tactic was used earlier this month to announce the planned opening of a new Cajun seafood restaurant in the downtown area. The sign, which was placed over the doors at 261 Main Street, simply stated "Cajun seafood coming soon."
