New Principal Named For Stamford Elementary School

Lisa Saba-Price has been named the new principal of Westover Magnet Elementary School, according to Stamford Public Schools.

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Public Schools announced Tuesday that Lisa Saba-Price has been named the new principal of Westover Magnet Elementary School.

Saba-Price, who currently serves as principal of Newfield Elementary School, will take over the position from Kathleen Wunder, Westover's current principal who is set to retire on June 30, according to a news release.

A 33-year veteran of the Stamford Public Schools with 18 years of administrative experience, Saba-Price has served as principal at Newfield for the past nine years.

"Ms. Saba-Price brings a wealth of sound instructional knowledge and a commitment to the minds, bodies and hearts of all Stamford students," Superintendent Tamu Lucero said in a news release. "I am confident that she will provide the support needed during this transition as we move forward into next school year."

A Stamford native, Saba-Price is a graduate of Westhill High School. She previously worked as a teacher in both Northeast and Davenport elementary schools and served as an assistant principal at both Davenport Ridge and Stillmeadow elementary schools.

Saba-Price holds a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education from Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and a master of arts in education from Sacred Heart University. She also earned her sixth year in educational leadership from Southern Connecticut State University.
