STAMFORD, CT — A sign advertising a new Cajun seafood restaurant has gone up at a currently vacant space in the downtown area of Stamford. The sign, placed over the doors at 261 Main Street, simply states "Cajun seafood coming soon."

No further information is provided by the sign, which also boasts pictures of lobster and cab.

The space is the former location of The Factory Bar and Grill, which closed last year after only four months. Prior to that, it was the location of McFadden's Saloon. Both restaurants are listed on Yelp as having been located at 261 Main Street.

The vacant space sits next to Fiesta on Main, a Peruvian restaurant located at 249 Main Street. Fiesta opened in February 2017 and offers customers "authentic Peruvian food and drink in a lively venue perfect for socializing," the restaurant's website reads.

Earlier this year, Kouzina Greek Taverna & Bar opened nearby at 223 Main Street, the former site of Bobby V's sports bar.

According to the Stamford Advocate, a restaurant called Clark + Main had been in the works as the Factory's replacement earlier this year, however the teased Cajun seafood establishment appears to have superseded it.
