STAMFORD, CT — Just two months after a Cajun seafood eatery announced its imminent arrival to the downtown Stamford area, a new Colombian restaurant has advertised its planned opening in a similar fashion.

The doors at 84 Park Place have been adorned with full-sized banners announcing Noches de Colombia is "coming soon" to the area near Columbus Park. The banners contain pictures of various menu items, however they do not provide any further information.

The planned restaurant will open in the former location of Aguapanelas, a Latin restaurant that closed last year. The formerly vacant space is situated next to Guacho Stamford, an Argentinean steakhouse that boasts a large menu of steaks, seafood and chicken, as well as an extensive wine list.

Noches de Colombia has a number of locations in New Jersey and New York. It is the second new eatery to announce a planned opening in the area near the park.

Early last month, a sign advertising a new Cajun seafood restaurant was placed over the doors at 261 Main Street. Similarly, the sign provided little information other than "Cajun seafood coming soon."

The Main Street space is the former location of The Factory Bar and Grill, which closed last year after only four months. Prior to that, it was the location of McFadden's Saloon.
