Obituary: Edoardo Maiorana, 78, Of Stamford

Edoardo Maiorana, age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 19. Edoardo was born on October 14, 1942 in Palermo, Sicily, the son of Mario and Giuseppina (Cerafici) Maiorana.

Edoardo was a longtime resident of Stamford, CT and worked as an electrician at Pitney Bowes for 21 years. Besides spending time with his family, Edoardo enjoyed solving crossword and sudoku puzzles as well as landscaping and being “Mr. Fix it” in the house.

Survivors include his loving wife Giovanna Maiorana of 38 years, his daughter, Stefania
(Maiorana) Heins and husband Teddy, son Mario Maiorana and wife Amanda and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private mass will be celebrated at St. Bridget Church in Stamford followed by an Interment at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Stamford. Edoardo's family will receive friends at a “walk through wake” at Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home at 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford (203)-359-9999 on Wednesday, March 24th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
