Obituary: Stella Boccuzzi, 90, Of Stamford

Stella Boccuzzi, 90, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 19, 2021. She was born in Stamford on October 25, 1930 to the late Giuseppe and Mariangela Greco Giamba.

Stella worked beside her late husband Joseph for 30 years at the Mayflower Deli in Stamford.

She is survived by her loving children, Joseph R. Boccuzzi and his wife Marcia of Trumbull, Ralph L. Boccuzzi and his wife Lynne of Stamford and Mary B. Manoni and her husband Kevin of Monroe, as well as eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She found great joy in watching her nieces and nephews and their families grow up around her.

Stella was predeceased by her husband Joseph Boccuzzi in 2009 and her three sisters, Catherine Bonina, Amelia Franchina and Angelina Rosso.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St John's Cemetery, Darien. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Stella's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
