Possible Suspect Vehicle Identified In Hit-And-Run: Stamford PD

Police have identified a possible suspect vehicle from a June 6 hit-and-run that left a Stamford man critically injured.

STAMFORD, CT — Police have identified a possible suspect vehicle in a hit-and-run incident which left a 45-year-old Stamford man critically injured earlier this month.

On June 6 shortly before 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of Wilson St. just south of Grenhart Rd. on a report of a person who had possibly been hit by a car. The pedestrian was transported to Stamford Hospital with life-threatening injuries, and he remains hospitalized in the Intensive Care unit in critical but stable condition, police said Monday morning.

The evidence on the scene led investigators to believe that the pedestrian was indeed struck by a vehicle, but the vehicle had fled the scene prior to emergency personnel arriving. There were no witnesses on scene that could provide any information to the investigating officers.
