Recycling And Sanitation 4th Of July Schedule

The City announced its holiday recycling and sanitation schedule on Thursday.

STAMFORD, CT — According to an announcement from the City of Stamford, the Scale House/Transfer House and the Katrina Mygatt Recycling Center will be closed on July 5th, 2021 for Independence Day.

Garbage and Recyling will be collected. All faciliites will re-open on Tuesday, July 6th.

Additionally, Stamford's Recycling and Sanitation Department will be hosting a clothing drive and recycling collection event on Saturday, July 10, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at 55 Rock Rimmon Rd. and has additional dates scheduled for Aug. 7, Sept. 11, and Oct. 2.

The Department will be accepting textiles such as clothing, shoes, sneakers, scarfs, hat linens, blankets, and towels, as well as electronics, mattresses, yard waste, and other "bulky" waste.
