The Roots of American Music with Boogie Chillun'​

Celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day at The Ferguson Library

Celebrate the 9th annual international Take Your Child to the Library Day with Boogie Chillun’, a five-piece diverse, multicultural, and multi-talented group. "The Roots of American Music with Boogie Chillun'," the Harry Bloch Children’s History Program, will take place at the Ernest A. DiMattia, Jr. Building of The Ferguson Library on Saturday, February 22 at 2 p.m. and is made possible through a generous donation by Louise Stern.

You’ll take a musical trip through American history, with a capella spirituals, gospel, songs of the American Civil War, folk music, jazz, ragtime, blues, Motown, rock and roll, soul, funk, disco, rap, and hip-hop, bringing our journey into the present day.
