Stamford Animal Control Rescues Dog Stuck in Fence

Animal Reports from around Stamford.

Stamford authorities had to rescue a dog this week after it became stuck in a fence, officer Stendhal Jean-Louise said Friday.

Jean-Louise, of the Stamford Animal Care & Control Shelter, said the dog, a Labrador Retriever mix, became stuck Saturday, January 11, at a home on Dixon Way off Fairfield Avenue.

He said the dog had gotten loose from its owner, a Dixon Way resident, and then got tangled up in a fence down the street. A neighbor spotted the dog unable to free itself and called authorities. The dog was freed and returned to its owner, Jean-Louise said.
